Key Stage 3
Year 7: The scheme includes an introduction to Music technology, the elements of music, singing and composing
Year 8: The scheme includes Theme and Variations, Arabic music and Dance music for robots.
Year 9: This scheme includes Dance music, Reggae, Indian Ragas and song writing
Key Stage 4
At this key stage the course collaborates with CLC to give the students the opportunity of gaining the experience of using the latest music technology.
BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate in Music is a 30 credit unit.
Students have to complete 2 mandatory units and 1 optional unit. Assessment is based on a Pass, Merit and Distinction.
Key Stage 5
BTEC Level 3 in Music Technology Production is a 30 credit unit.
Students complete 1 mandatory unit and two optional units. All students get the opportunity to use the school’s recording studio to complete certain units of work. Assessment is based on a Pass, Merit and Distinction.
