Thursday 1 September to Friday 21 October

Half Term Holiday: Monday 24 Oct to Friday 28 Oct (1 week)

Monday 31 October to Friday 16 December

Christmas Holiday 2011: Monday 19 Dec to Tuesday 03 Jan (2 weeks + 1 day)

There is an extra Bank Holiday for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Headteacher representatives and the Unions have decided to adopt this extra day on Tuesday 03 January 2012 instead of on the national Queen's Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday on Tuesday 05 June 2012, which falls during the summer half-term and would therefore be 'lost' to schools as an extra day's holiday.
