The Business Studies Department offers students the opportunity to gain qualifications at both Level 2 and Level 3
 
During Years 10 and 11 the Edexcel Applied GCSE in Business Studies course course  may appeal to you if you have a lively and enquiring mind and want to:
 
  • Learn about and understand how actual businesses operate in a local, national and global setting
  • Investigate the part people play in business such as customers, employees and employers
  • Gain confidence by developing independent learning skills
  • Follow a programme of study that enables progression to further courses and eventually, employment in a business
The course is delivered  through a range of methodologies including:
 
  • Use of case studies to illustrate key concepts
  • Visits from and talks by employers in industry and commerce
  • Homework/past examination questions/research
  • Independent learning/self-directed learning
