As mentioned above, fewer unskilled jobs are available and employers are expecting young people to have Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. Young people are paying more for university tuition fees or not attending at all because they cannot afford the tuition fees. As an alternative, apprenticeships are becoming more popular.
